Rats – Update

The rats recently sighted in the village have been tracked to a nest in the bramble growth to the rear of the village hall.  Steps will be taken to trap and kill many of the vermin, and remove the brambles.  The District Council will also be repairing the communal bins on the lane to deprive them of this food source.

Any rats who survive will be displaced and seek new homes.  Please do not encourage them into your garden by leaving food waste on compost heaps, or scattered bird seed on the ground.  The removal of rats is the responsibility of the landowner whose land they are living on, not the responsibility of the district council or parish council.  Don’t let them move in where you live.
