The cold weather has brought more than snow and ice to Draughton.

The Harvest Festival will be held this year on Sunday 24 September, starting at 5pm, with  refreshments afterwards in the village hall.  Everyone is welcome to come along to this traditional family service.

This is a message published at the request of a local farmer - please could all dog walkers using the public footpaths around the village take care to keep their dogs under close control - loose dogs can easily disrupt

With contractors' costs continuing to increase, the parish council has decided to fund the cutting of the village green during the season this year, but, as last year, the verges down Low Lane will not be cut by contractors.  The

The village hall has a new noticeboard, part funded with grant from our District Council Ward Representative, David Pighills.  Thanks to William Lang for putting it up for us, and many thanks also for mending the step in the children's playground.

A landrover has been stolen from Meadowcroft this week.  Police warn us that vehicles like this are particularly targeted - be extra vigilant.
