Family services at St Augustine’s
Monthly family services are to be introduced at St Augustine's from February 2022. The first service in each month, starting with 6 February, will be led by the Rector and will start at 9.30am. The services will be age-appropriate for

Remembrance Sunday
Our service of Remembrance was held on Sunday, starting outside the church to observe the Silence, marked with the help of a bugler, and then moving inside for prayers led by the Rector.
Remembrance Sunday
The Remembrance service will be held this year on 14 November, starting at 3pm outside St Augustine's Church, where a bugler will attend to mark the Silence. All welcome to attend.
Draughton commemoration service for Duke of Edinburgh
A special service was held to commemorate the death of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, on 11 April. St Augustine's church ensures all its services comply with relevant Covid guidelines. A copy of the risk assessment is available on this site.

Candles in the Windows (and in the telephone kiosk)
At the beginning of February, for the festival of Candlemas, villagers in Draughton lit candles in their windows to turn thoughts away from the pandemic and the dark days of social restrictions towards new lighter times ahead.
