Pandemic restrictions

Revised restrictions are set to be introduced by the Government on Thursday, as measures are taken to control the rate of increase of the coronavirus pandemic across the whole country.

People are being told to stay at home if at all possible, although schools and colleges remain open and travel for work and other essential purposes is to be allowed.  Social gatherings indoors and in private gardens, involving more than one household, are not to be permitted, but 2 people from different households may meet in a public place.
