Use of public footpaths in Draughton
This is a message published at the request of a local farmer - please could all dog walkers using the public footpaths around the village take care to keep their dogs under close control - loose dogs can easily disrupt

Grass Cutting 2017 Season
With contractors' costs continuing to increase, the parish council has decided to fund the cutting of the village green during the season this year, but, as last year, the verges down Low Lane will not be cut by contractors. The
Village Hall Noticeboard
The village hall has a new noticeboard, part funded with grant from our District Council Ward Representative, David Pighills. Thanks to William Lang for putting it up for us, and many thanks also for mending the step in the children's playground.
New member joins Parish Council
The parish council has co-opted a new member - Richard Neale, who has lived at The Granary, Draughton Hall Farm, for 15 years. A warm welcome to Richard!
Response of Parish Council to application for housing development
At a meeting held on 22 December, the Parish Council decided to object to an outline application for a housing development at the top of the village. See the Council's full response to the consultation here: letter-re-planning-application-for-9-houses-dec-2016
